Dear
Visitors,
GLAD TO SHARE PERSONAL STORY
Most people lost their family members in a savage
regime of Pol Pot. It was a brutal and dictatoral
regime for the human history which killed 1.7
millions Cambodians between 1975 - 1979.
I lost my father when I was 5 months old in
the same regime where in a small village about
32km, north of Siem Reap, known as Sophy. Thanks
for the arrival of the UN troops coming to Cambodia
in 1991 that encourage my English study. I started
to practise my bumpy English with them when
I lead my cattles to eat around their camp.
Thanks god moved us from the small village into
Siem Reap town. Life in the city was quite difficult
for us because the cost of living was much more
expensive than in the country. Fortunately,
I found a job in a small western restaurant
in 1995, known as Green House Restaurant as
a waiter. After 3 months of working in the restaurant,
I had improved a lot of my English speaking
skill I found a sponsor for my education for
5 years. He is currently a teacher
in Brooklyn called Michael Pearlman.
I had successfully graduated IT (computer science
& engineering) bachelor degree in 2001.
Angkor Explorer website is a self-designed and
maintained.
ORGANIZATION PROFILE
After nearly 6 years of finding more rewarding
alternatives to traditional vacations, my passion
for active travel is stronger than ever. Of
course I have a pretty obvious bias. At Angkor
Explorer I’m fortunate to work with a
team of people who share my passion and devote
their days to creating the best possible visit
around Cambodia – and who will be working
again tomorrow to make them even better. But
the desire to keep earning our place as the
world’s number one organization arises
out of something more fundamental.
I
simply can’t imagine a better way to immerse
yourself in the life of a region, to explore
hidden corners and appreciate nuances while
enjoying the benefits and enormous satisfaction
of traveling under your own power. These are
experiences you cannot have behind the wheel
of a car, or on a train or a tour bus, or in
a few excursions from a cruise ship or a secluded
resort. Active travel is, at its heart, a way
of connecting more authentically with the world.
Sure, Angkor Explorer provides amazing leaders/guides,
superb accommodations and meals, and opportunities
you could never arrange on your own. But all
of our comprehensive planning and support is
aimed at something far simpler: bringing you
the immediate, highly personal satisfaction
of discovering a new world on your own terms.
When I think about all the
places I still have left to explore, and those
I want to revisit and enjoy again, I’m
constantly reminded what a gift it is to be
able to explore Cambodia actively. Angkor Explorer
trips are about embracing what life has to offer,
living the experience as it unfolds and at the
same time creating memories that will last forever.
I have been guiding people
to many tourist destinations such Angkor region
as well as to many attractive sites in Cambodia.
Hence, I decided to set up a guiding team
to work in Angkor as well as in many different
provinces in Cambodia. We are providing
alternative language speaking guides, accommodation
reservation, transport...etc.
Looking for the best guide
is not a big deal for our team because we
are all licensed and qualified. If Fin is
not available, anyone in the team can always
accepted by just sending e-mail to click
here.
Charity
Project
20% of our profit will be contributed to the
student in the rural and poor areas. Books,
Pens, Toys, Clothes will be highly recommended
to bring with if you could find some one who
left over these stuffs. We will bring you
staight to the school to deliver them to each
student.

Best regards,
Fin
